Season 2011-12 is underway!! The season kicked off with a great start at the Bishopton Rugby family day on August 21st with lots of enthusiastic children keen to get stuck into another year of fun, action and a wee bit of competition. The coaches have a pile of new games and ideas, we have some great fixtures lined up and expectation is high for another fab year. This season we will be splitting into two 'terms', the first takes us from August up to December 11th, we take a six week break while the snow is here and resume on Sunday 29th January. On training days at least, the micro rugby section will meet at the new time of 11:00am.
Run by accredited coaches, the section welcomes children from 3 years to 7 years old. The sessions run for no longer than 45 minutes and are be focussed on developing physical confidence by working on basic running, jumping, kicking, throwing and catching skills in a series of fun, non-contact games. Places will be limited to 10 children per coach, if you are interested in registering your child then please let us know by sending an email to micro@bishoptonrugby.com .
Interested in helping? We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help out with the coaching, both on a weekly or just an occasional basis when time allows. If you feel you would like to join us in this very rewarding venture then please let us know and we will arrange the coaching courses!
